San Clemente in Full Bloom

"We knew from the start that our journey towards growth and development would be difficult. But in spite of the formidable challenges, we carried on. And San Clemente is now on the edge of a sustained and accelerated growth path. We demonstrated how good governance leads to better performance and brought meaningful benefits. By delivering the real and measurable dividends of good governance, we enabled our townspeople to aspire for greater prosperity for themselves and their town.
San Clemente was recipient of various awards for the past years. Various recognitions of our firm commitment in setting the stage for a transformed economy: (1) Pusong Makakalikasan Award 2009; (2) Top Performing LGU on LGPMS for 2009, 2010, 2011 on Performance Area of Environmental Governance; (3) Passer of 5 out of 6 Local Governance Assessment Areas for Year 2014; (4) Seal of Good Housekeeping 2013; (5) Seal of Good Housekeeping 2014; (6) Seal of Child-Friendly Local Governance 2015; and just recently, we are recipient of the 2016 Seal of Good Local Governance. These awards are confirmations of San Clementeños’ good and effective collaboration towards growth and development and of accountable and responsive governance.
For a decade now, San Clemente embraced the tradition of staging a Belen. It became a feast-like event being anticipated by the San Clementeños during the most joyful season of the year. Our entry for this year highlights the indigenous materials found in the locality such as bolo and bamboo and we used plastic cups and recyclable materials from our previous Belen entries. It was crafted by the Creative Design Team of the Municipality headed by Engr. Ariel P. Cristobal. It was put up with so much love and devotion by the municipal officials and employees.
It is not easy to build something out of nothing but if we gather all our courage and convictions and hold our dream up high, we can achieve whatever goals we have. Together, we can confront the new challenges and surprises of our volatile world as we are poised for further progress. We are now bringing our dreams for our town into a reality. And let us guarantee that what we have achieved will never wither.
Truly, Our San Clemente, Our Home, is in full bloom!"
