Pura, Tarlac - - May his tribe increase.

A policeman here forgave 6 minor-aged robbers who ransacked his house at Barangay Buenavista while he was on duty February 2, 2017.

In the report submitted to PCInsp. Augusto Pasamonte, chief of the Provincial Investigation and Detection Management Branch (PIDMB), SPO2 Orlando Capinpin, a policeman assigned here, reported that his house was robbed of a Lenovo mobile phone, 2 sling bags, Rogix T-shirts, Pants, socks and one (1) watch all, worth around P10,000, were taken by intruders.

In an interview, Capinpin said he was so angered when he found the room of his son in shambles and a window forced opened.

Ako, na isang pulis, ang lakas ng loob nilang pagnakawan ako”, said Capinpin who is a native of this “sleepy town” - 4th class municipality with less than 24,000 population.

But when he found out that those who robbed him were 6 minors, 3 of which were his neighbors, and realized that what were taken by them were “basic” necessities, he had a change of heart.

Apparently, a neighbor identified the “kids” who saw them doing something at the back of his house.

When he and other policemen went to the Buenavista High School he saw one of them wearing one of the shirts taken from his son’s room.

Capinpin also said that the 6 minors, two of them were graders and 4 were high school students, “readily confessed” to what they have done and returned all the items they took.

Instead of filing charges to the 6 Children in Conflict with Law (CILC), Capinpin treated them with a sumptuous meal.
