Typhoon "NINA" Update: Merry "Rainy" Christmas For Visayas Region

PAGASA said stormy weather may be highly thought of on intensity of Metro Manila, Bicol Region, CALABARZON, and unfriendly than the provinces of Bulacan, Pampanga, Bataan, Zambales, Marinduque, Oriental and Occidental Mindoro, and Northern Samar harshly Sunday, Christmas Day.

Residents in the said areas may experience moderate to heavy rains which may trigger flashfloods and landslides, and strong winds which may topple different structures, trees.
There may also be storm surges of up to 2 meters over coastal areas of Quezon-Bicol Region, Samar, and other coastal areas along its path, according to PAGASA.
The weather bureau said sea travel is risky over the seaboards of Northern Luzon and eastern seaboards of Central Luzon, Southern Luzon and of Visayas due to the surge of Northeast Monsoon and 'Nina.'
Forecaster Benison Estareja said 'Nina' would be closest to Metro Manila on Monday, around noon, but rains and strong winds will be felt in the morning.
He added, based on their latest forecast, 'Nina' would intensify further, but may possibly slightly weaken once it hits Bicol.
'Nina' is expected to exit PAR by Wednesday, December 28.
