Thus, said the husband whose wife was raped by his neighbor during a drinking spree around midnight last December 30, 2016 at Barangay Rizal.
In his report to Tarlac Police Provincial Director PSSupt Westrimundo Obinque, PCInsp Edison Pascasio said the suspect, Rofel Gamboa, 23, was immediately arrested after the husband and wife reported the rape incident to the police.
“Demonyo siya, nagpa-alam lang na ji-jingle (take a pee), ‘ yun pala pinasok na niya ang aking asawa sa aming kuwarto”, said the husband who requested his name withheld.
The husband was drinking at Gamboa’s house along with 3 other neighbors when his wife was sexually assaulted.
The 25 years old victim Lorraine, not her real name, was then sleeping with her 3-year old daughter when Gamboa entered their bedroom.
Apparently, Lorraine thought it was her espouse who was making love to her. But when she light up her cell phone on sensing “something odd”, she realized it was not her husband, but Gamboa, who was on top of her.
Lorraine said Gamboa was holding a knife pointed to her sleeping daughter besides her.
A 13-year old child and her mother, who lives with Lorraine, saw Gamboa hastily leaving their house through the kitchen door a few moments before hearing the victim’s loud cry. The mother and child, whose statements were taken by the police investigator, also requested their names withheld for fear of reprisal.
“Tulog na ako noon. Akala ko ang asawa ko ang gumagalaw sa akin, pero ‘nung sindihan ko ang aking cellphone dahil may nararamdaman akong kakaiba, ‘yun pala ang kapitbahay naming demonyo ang nag-momolestiya sa akin”, said Lorraine recounting her ordeal.
According to Pascasio, the responding policemen recovered Gamboa’s slippers from Lorraine’ bedroom and the kitchen knife he used to threaten his victim and her child.
The rape suspect has no slippers when arrested at their own house.
Gamboa is now detained at the police station and is charged for rape.
