After Sushmita Sen won the Miss Universe title in Manila in 1994, lots of Filipino parents named their daughters after her. I can’t believe the world can be this goddamn cute.

There is no doubt that Filipinos love Sushmita Sen, who was crowned Miss Universe 1994 in the Philippines. She says the feeling is mutual and she will never forget the people who welcomed her with open arms and the place where her life was forever changed.

On ‘Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho’ which aired Sunday night, Sushmita found out that some Filipinos even named their daughters after her. Jessica Soho surprised the Miss Universe 1994 by presenting four Pinays who were born the year she won Miss Universe and were named after her.




 Meanwhile, one of these gorgeous ladies lives in Tarlac, 23 year-old Sushmita Doi a half Filipino and half Japanese. She currently working as CIO at Sun Cellular and Teller at PLDT.

Sushmita Sen was shook when she met all these women who were named after her. Her reaction was uncanny!
