Lanie Joy Ibarra & Kristian Charlz Escaño Crowned As Mr. & Ms. TSU Intramurals 2017

The search for Mr. and Ms. Tarlac State University Intramurals 2017 was held last April 03, 2017 from 7:00 to 11 p.m. at the TSU Gymnasium.

The 18 gorgeous and dashing candidates were:

Number 1 and 2  from CAFA

Ms. Lanie Joy Ibarra and Mr. Noel Peter Sena

Number 3 and 4 from CASS

Ms. Margret Delas Llgas and Mr. Vincent John Musni

Number 5 and 6 from CBA

Ms. Aizle Binuya and Mr. Mico Boy Basco

Number 7 and 8 from CCS

Ms. Maribeth Manucduc and Mr. Charles Panganiban

Number 9 and 10 from COED

Ms. Blessie Valete and Mr. Bryan Lagonilla

Number 11 and 12 from COE

Ms. Irish Diamsay and Mr. Kristian Charlz Escano

Ms. Luisa Martinez and Mr. Michael Bagay

Number 15 and 16 from COS

Ms. Sheri Manabat and Mr. Mr. Lloyd Logante

The event started with a stylish production number which introduced the 18 lovely and handsome candidates Each of the contestants represented a certain department, dividing the crowd into groups of fans and supporters. Hosted by Ms. Kat Seguira and Mr. Harold Hilario.

The candidates once again mesmerized the audiences in the Formal Wear and Evening Gown Competition. A pop jazz dance number was then presented before the giving of more minor awards.The final ranking of winners was then declared: Number 1 and Number 12 as Mr. and Ms. TSU Intramurals 2017. 


Ms. Lanie Joy Ibarra,candidate number 1 bagged the awards of Ms. Silka 2017, Best in Formal Wear, Best in Swimwear and crowned as Ms.TSU Intramurals 2017.

Ibarra, 19-year-old from San Rafael, Tarlac City, a third year student of TSU College of Architecture and Fine Arts. She was her second time to join Ms. TSU Intramurals but she never give up, she's kept on saying "Hindi ako bumalik para matalo ulit." In God's perfect time, it happened."

Mr. Kristian Charlz Escano candidate number 12 bagged the awards of Students' Choice Award,
Mr. Photogenic, Mr. Divalicious, Face of Oppo, Best in Theme Wear, Best in Sportswear, Best in Swimwear, Best in Formal Wear and crowned as Mr. TSU Intramurals 2017.

Escano, also 19-year-old from Brgy. Pando Concepcion, Tarlac, taking a Bachelor of Science in Electronic Engineering. "Hindi naging madali yung preparations kasi una yung time management. May mga class kami during the practices so nahihirapan kami mag adjust and dahil na din sa tulong ng nga governors ng bawat colleges namin naging successful yung lahat ng mga ginawa namin before the pageant". said Mr. Escano on his Backstage Interview by Jahred Bertolfo of THE WORK.

"Kung nag expect na ako na mapapasok ako sa top 5 given na almost nakuha ko lahat ng awards. Then i said yes, cause di mawawala yung expectation na yun dahil almost lahat ng awards sakin binigay ng judges and ng crowds. It was my first time palang sumali sa Mr. Intramural then kung pang ilang pageant na sa TSU? First is the NSTP Pageant and then this Intramural pageant na. Last,  it is my 5th pageant already". [overall]. he added.

In the end, all of the smiles of the competitors proved that they are true winners after all, for they’ve exhibited the value of sportsmanship, confidence and determination all throughout the competition.
